I’m jus sayin

Why would Jesus’ disciples, who ran to the hills when Jesus was arrested and never had strong faith in him in the first place, turn around and suddenly devote their lives to spreading the Gospel? Why would people allow themselves to be crucified for a supposed hoax? Why would they say Jesus rose from the dead if it meant they would be killed for saying it? WHY?
